To Begin

You will need a brown lunch bag, 2 fabrics for appliques and trim at top of bag, fusible web, a button, black felt tip pen and glue.

1. Use a heart pattern to make hearts.

2.  Fuse hearts  to center of front of bag.  Glue button to hearts.

3.  For bow, cut 3/4" x 10" strip from 1 fabric.  Tie strip into a bow, trim ends, and set aside.

4.  For remaining trip at top of bag, fuse web to wrong sides of fabrics.  Cut a 1/2" x 6" strip from bow fabric; cut strip into eight 3/4" long pieces.  Measure around top of bag, add 1/2".  Cut a 1 1/4" w strip the determined measurement from remaining fabric.

5.  Fuse wide fabric strip around bag about 3/4" from top.  Glue bow to center of strip.  Spacing evenly, fuse remaining fabric pieces along center of strip.  

6.  Use pen to draw stitches around appliqués and trim on bag.
