FILLING

1/4 cup confectioners' sugar, 1 Tbsp milk, 1/2 tsp lemon juice

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
1.  Dough:  Mix flour, baking powder and salt in a large bowl.  Add butter and cut in with a pastry blender until mixture resembles oatmeal.  Add milk and stir with a fork until dough comes together in a ball.
2.  Place on a lightly floured surface and knead gently  7 or 8 times.  With a lightly floured rolling pin, roll dough into a 14 x 12-in rectangle.
3.  Heat oven to 375 degrees.  Line a cookie sheet with foil and grease generously.
4.  Filling:  Mix sugar, walnuts and cinnamon in a small bowl.  Brush butter over dough and sprinkle evenly with sugar mixture.  Roll up from 1 short end, jelly-roll fashion and pinch seam to seal.  Cut into 1-inch slices.
5.  Place the slices, slightly overlapping each other, on the foil-lined cookie sheet, forming an 8-9 inch ring.
6.  Bake 20-25 minutes until puffed and lightly browned.  Cool on pan on a wire rack until warm.  Slide onto serving plate.
7.  Glaze:  Stir confectioners' sugar, milk and lemon juice in a small bowl until smooth.  Brush over warm ring and let set at least 3 minutes before serving.
